Young stars recognised for stellar seasons at WFNL junior best and fairest
The league presentation was held on Monday, September 2.

Junior Best and Fairest's
The Wimmera Football Netball League acknowledged its future stars at the junior best and fairest on Monday, September 2.
Players, coaches and officials gathered to see who had the most impact during the 18 regular season rounds.
Football
Nhill's Jobe Dickinson claimed the under-17s best and fairest with 24 votes.
Dickinson played all 16 matches during the regular season, kicking 14 goals whilst he featured in the best on nine occasions.
He also made his senior debut in round 16.
Horsham's Monty Wynne was the runner-up with 18 votes.
In the under-14s, Horsham's Chaz Smith claimed the top honour with 34 votes.
During the regular season, Smith kicked 38 goals and featured in the best in each of his 14 games.
Smith also played with Rupanyup and Laharum in the HDFNL during the season and was a Wimmera interleague representative.
Dimboola's Reef Ward was the runner-up on 28 votes.
Netball
Southern Mallee's Taya Horman has won the 17-and-under best and fairest with 31 votes.
A rock in the defensive circle, Horman was named in the best on five occasions.
Horman also featured in A and B grades in 2024 and was a junior representative player.
Horsham defender Sienna Manserra was runner-up with 29 votes.
Manserra has also featured in A Grade this season.
Horsham Saint Lena Marshman has claimed the 15-and-under best and fairest with 44 votes.
A strong presence in the Saints' defensive ring, Marshman was named in the best on four occasions and was a member of the league's junior representative team.
As was runner-up, Stawell Warrior Ayva Mitchell with 29 votes.
Horsham Saint Ruby Bethune was voted the 13 and under best and fairest with 43 votes.
A versatile player, Bethune was mainly used in the defensive goal ring and was named in the best six times.
Warrack's Piper Knorpp was the runner-up with 30 votes.
