Worksafe Country Club Series visits Warracknabeal

On Thursday, May 30, the Warrack Eagles welcomed former AFL star Scott Selwood and former Melbourne Vixens netballer Rahni Samason to training, launching the Country Club Week celebrations.

In partnership with WorkSafe Victoria, the Country Club Series supports regional communities by sharing practical safety messages.

The club received over $15,000 in value from the visit, including funding, promotional support, and new equipment such as footballs, netballs, and goal post padding to enhance club operations.

On Saturday, former Bulldogs premiership player Tom Boyd and former Australian Diamonds champion Eloise Southby-Halbish were immersed in the gameday proceedings.

Southby-Halbish, a Commonwealth Games gold medalist, provided guidance and support to the Eagles’ A Grade netballers, while Boyd recognised several community champions during the event.

The club had a successful day, defeating Southern Mallee Thunder by 12 points. Sam Hanna received the WorkSafe best-on-ground medal.
