Wishing a Merry Christmas and a very blessed new year | You + The Church
"Be still, and know that I am God.

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10.
As the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season surrounds us, it's important for us to take a moment to embrace the stillness and ponder the true essence of this sacred time.
Just as the shepherds were guided by a star to a humble stable, leading them to the Saviour, so are we called to find peace in the quiet of our hearts.
In the midst of the busyness of our to-do lists and gatherings, let us not lose sight of the miraculous birth that is at the heart of our celebrations.
Isaiah 9:6 says, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given".
This is not merely an event of the past but a continuous invitation to allow the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, into our lives today.
Are we too busy with our preparations to hear His gentle whisper?
He invites us to lay our burdens down and enter into His rest, echoing His promise, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28.
This a promise that we can bring our stress, afflictions, disappointments and worries to Jesus and He will carry the load.
As we near the end of this year, with its mix of highs and lows, let us remember that each end is but a new beginning in the light of His birth.
In the silence of our hearts, let's welcome the Christ child, ready to renew our spirits with hope, peace, and joy. May His presence be the greatest gift we receive this season.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very blessed new year.
