Wimmera netballers named in 2025 Victorian 17 and 19 state squads
Four athletes have been selected in the 50-player squads.
The Wimmera have had four players selected in Netball Victoria's 17 and 19 and under 2025 state squads.
Maddison Bethune (Horsham Saints) and Bridie Price (Ararat) have been named in the 17-and-under squad, with Jorja Clode (Horsham Saints) and Indy Ward (Dimboola) included in the 19-and-under squad.
Squads of 50 were named on Tuesday, July 30, with the teams to be narrowed to 12 players in the coming weeks.
Selection will be held at Melbourne's State Netball Centre on Friday, August 2, and Sunday, August 11.
Athletes successful in gaining selection will return to Melbourne in early December for squad training.
These squad selections came after eight players were invited to trial for Netball Victoria's Northern Talent Academy.
The trials will be held on Saturday, November 9, at Bendigo Stadium.
Netball Victoria conducts talent identification during Netball Victoria competitions and tournaments.
Talent scouts assessed athletes to be considered for invitation to trial for the Netball Victoria Northern Talent Academy and State 17/U and 19/U programs.
