Beulah's Wide Open Spaces festival promises two days of music, food and fun.
The event, to run over next weekend, March 11 and 12, kicks off with a creekside market on Saturday at 9am on the lawns near Yarriambiack Creek and includes an art workshop, an art display in the town's football clubrooms, remote-control vehicles and a classic cars display.
The art workshop with gum-leaf painting will be with Ngarrpadla Daphney (Aunty Daphney) Rickett, a respected Aboriginal Elder and well-known artist who has painted for about 30 years.
Organiser Barbara Moore said frames, canvas, paint, brushes and gum leaves would be supplied as part of the workshop cost.
She asked people wanting to attend to book by phoning 0438 902 246.
Saturday's music from 4pm to midnight has a line-up of talented guests including Darryn Wardle of Horsham and Melbourne groups The Fall Guys, Danny Walsh Banned, Uncool Uncle and The Edmonds Family.
Some band members have links to Beulah.
Sunday's events will start with an 8am breakfast at Auntie Silly Billy's Kathee with poetry and music, followed by a family day from noon to 9pm.
Anglers can try their skills in a fishing competition in Yarriambiack Creek.
Pony rides, a jumping castle, face painting and music "from lunch to late" are also included in the program.
