The Wimmera Whippets stand victorious at Sunday’s Football Integration Development Association’s conference trophy grand final.
The Whippets claimed a 49 points victory over South Warrnambool Hurricanes to win the FIDA trophy at City Oval in Horsham.
The Whippets kept the South Warrnambool Hurricanes scoreless through the first quarter.
Wimmera's defence was strong and turned around every offensive push the Hurricanes could put together, while the side built its lead at the other end.
South Warrnambool found its first points in the second quarter with a behind, quickly followed by the side's opening goal.
However, the momentum the Hurricanes found did not last long as the Whippets surged back in control and continued to build its lead.
The Whippets celebrated their victory and thanked all the volunteers that made Sunday's game possible and all the spectators who came and cheered the teams.
The Final Score was: Whippets 10.10 (70) - Hurricanes 3.3 (21).
