Warracknabeal supplies store Robert Smith and Co gets national recognition
Robert Smith and Co named Greg O'Neil CRT Business of the Year.

Warracknabeal's Robert Smith and Co supply store has received national recognition for its outstanding performance and contribution to agriculture at the 2024 Nutrien Ag Solutions and CRT Awards.
Robert Smith and Co, located at 262 Henty Highway Warracknabeal, at the northern end of town, now can call itself both the CRT Victoria Business of the Years and the Greg O'Neil CRT National Business of the Year.
With a team of only four people, owner of Robert Smith and Co, Andrew Golder said it is "very humbling" for his store to pick up this national recognition.
"I probably only know some of the Victorian businesses, but they're very well run operations, so to be in the same league as them is wonderful recognition," Mr Golder said.
"We just try and look after our customers, have stock here when we when they want it, and at the right price.
"I think this year maybe it didn't rain across some other areas, and we might have been a little bit lucky that our sales held up."
Managing director of Nutrien Ag Solutions Kelly Freeman congratulated all the 2024 award recipients at a gala dinner in Queensland.
"These stores have achieved remarkable results over the past twelve months, despite the challenges faced by our industry throughout the year," Ms Freeman said.
"Our awards also celebrate the team members who go above and beyond each day to support and serve our customers, and demonstrate our commitment to safety with a proactive and positive culture.
"Our success is driven by the diversity within our business, the strength of our strategy, and most importantly, the dedication of our people.
"I am incredibly proud of everyone across our business and their unwavering commitment to putting Australian farmers at the heart of all we do."
