Warrack SES get funding for utility vehicle
Warracknabeal, together with other VICSES units, will benefit from more than $100,000 in funding to replace utility vehicles.
The State Government made the commitment to emergency services volunteers so they can continue to have the equipment they need to do their life saving work.
With the announcement for the Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) grants made recently by Minister for Emergency Services Jaclyn Symes, recipients will benefit from a combined $15 million.
The program is designed to allow groups to purchase essential equipment like appliances and vehicles and carry out minor facility improvements.
Controller at SES Warracknabeal Mick Evans said the group will receive a twin cab Hilux Toyota - which will be used for call outs to control traffic or to tow their storm trailer.
A frame of time for its arrival has not been specified.
