Wacky art on display
Young artist Milo Clark has raw talent and a passion for art which has seen him open his first exhibition at The General Store in Warracknabeal at just 12 years old.
Milo Clark's exhibition, which opened two weeks ago, is showcasing 29 pieces of his work for another couple of weeks.
"When I see a blank piece of paper, it's mine," Milo said.
Milo began drawing at school when he was five, and last year entered one of his drawings at the Warracknabeal Show.
Now in grade seven, Milo said he continues to draw in his workbooks during class.
"I have more drawings than work in my books," Milo said.
Milo had joined his mum at an art class on using pastels and watercolours when he was approached by The General Store owner Belinda Miller, who asked if he wanted to display his work in an art exhibition.
"I thought it would be cool," Milo said.
"I sold a few paintings at the opening, and they said it's the most they've sold at one art exhibition before."
He said he would consider doing another art exhibition if he gets the chance with some improvements for next time.
"My time management will have to be better," Milo said.
"I had three months notice but I kept putting it off until I knew I had something to do."
Milo's pieces range from landscapes to what he likes to call "wacky stuff", where he draws shapes and connects them together.
"It's hard to explain it, so I just say 'wacky stuff'," he said.
