$1.2m grants for schools
Students in Horsham, Murtoa and Nhill will benefit from better facilities thanks to more than $1.2 million in government-funded maintenance works.
In a project to upgrade more than 50 schools across Victoria, Horsham Primary School will receive $648,943, Murtoa College $224,805 and Nhill College $354,920.
This latest round of the state's planned maintenance program provides funding to ensure schools can undertake projects such as fixing roofs, replacing windows, painting and resurfacing floors, and improving pathways.
Around the state, 59 schools will share in more than $20 million to undertake a total of 62 maintenance projects.
Works are determined by a rolling facilities evaluation process that provides up-to-date information on the condition of schools to create a faster and more targeted allocation of funding.
