Hoping to achieve the community ownership of Tower Park by the end of the year, the Tower Park Committee has released a prospectus for the fundraising.

There has already been strong interest, and the committee has expressed their thanks to community members and visitors who have contributed to the fund.

With fundraising off and running, a prospectus has been developed and sent to targeted organisations, and it is also being used for grant funding opportunities.

The prospectus details the value of the site to Dimboola, from markets and art events to its role as a central gathering location for family visits.

It also highlights the importance of community ownership, with benefits on the economy, tourism and social fronts, and decisions made by locals for locals.

With a funding goal of $60,000, this will cover not just purchase instalments, conveyancing, transfer, and compliance costs, but also insurance and security requirements, initial site maintenance, safety, and activation.

There has also been allowance made for signage, QR codes, donation points and event infrastructure.

There will be acknowledgement of major donations, with donations of in excess of $5000 recognised as Founding Supporter and donations of $1000-$4999 as Community Partner.

But the committee will welcome contributions of any size from individuals, families, farms, businesses, service clubs, philanthropic donors and community groups.

As a Friend of Tower Park, supporters receive varied benefits, including updates on progress, events, and volunteer opportunities, and an invitation to the official opening.
