Todd Wilson is a candidate for the Horsham North Ward HRCC in 2024
Todd Wilson has his sights set on a seat on HRCC in 2024 election

Born and raised in Horsham, on a sheep and cropping farm. I attended school locally and have since settled in Sunnyside with my fiancé.
Managing the farm and this connection to the area means we plan to start and raise our family here in Horsham. Life on the land equips farmers with a commitment to work hard and the ability to be flexible with time. These skills, if I am a Councillor, enable me to work hard for my community, and tackle any problems that pop up.
While farming, I am undertaking University study in Law and Accounting (over 90% completed).
My studies have provided me with the knowledge and ability to understand complex documents, for instance planning reports or Council budgets.
My reasons for nominating come from a growing concern for Horsham's future.
Watching Council meetings and reading agendas has led me to nominate to fight for positive change.
To be well prepared, I have completed the Leadership Course provided by Council and attended MAV and VEC hosted seminars and sessions for potential candidates, all of which gave a realistic expectation of what it is to be a Councillor.
If elected, I want to focus on the everyday issues.
The ones that affect our ability to enjoy and be proud of where we live. While the likes of a new sports stadium would be great for Horsham it will lose its appeal if the surrounds were not adequately maintained. For example: if parking was a big issue; it was surrounded by speed bumps/potholes; or if blocked drains caused puddles.
My community matters to me, so I pledge to actively engage with my community and to show up to Council meetings and Councillor briefings to make sure your voice is heard.
