Time To Torque sets the bar ahead of Sunday's Alabar Horsham 3YO Classic

Legendary Great Western horseman Peter Manning has done a mighty job with the filly Time To Torque this year, and the combo looks very hard to beat in the $8000 Alabar Horsham 3YO Classic on Sunday afternoon.
After a frustrating 2yo campaign which produced nine, top-four finishes without a victory, Manning brought Time To Torque back to the track in March for a first-up win at Ararat.
The breakthrough saw TTT grow in confidence and the pacer has since posted another five wins for the season.
Main danger to the Great Westerner may be the lightly raced, Art Major USA gelding, Michaywey from the strong Matty Craven/Amy Day camp.
After four starts early in the season, Michaywey resumed with second at Mt. Gambier after being awkwardly placed in the run, then followed up with impressive victories at Charlton and Terang.
It would pay to forgive the last start 5th a fortnight ago at Charlton when only finding clean air "after the bird had flown".
Havadash Joh was ultra-impressive on debut when saluting at Yarra Glen in 1:54.9 over the 1650m course for Elliminyt trainer Julie Brimacombe.
The son of Rock N Roll Heaven was well supported in betting at Melton next outing but finished out the back after breaking on two occasions in the run.
Stewards ordered a satisfactory trial before Havadash Joh was able to race again and with the tick of approval from Terang a couple of weeks later, the gelding should be primed for a bold run at Horsham.
Caramar Olam is the winner of five races this season for Dunnstown trainer Rob McCartney.
The gelded son of Sportswriter USA is part-owned by former Horsham HRC Secretary Tamara Lane, and winning a race on her old home track would be a real buzz.
Drawn awkwardly inside the second line looks like an obstacle, but with champion reinsman Chris Alford aboard, the horse will get every chance.
The Horsham Racing Centre will be abuzz on Sunday afternoon as family and friends get together for Christmas @ The Trots - a community event with something for everyone.
Gates open at noon with free entry for all and the crowd will enjoy Live Tunes on the lawn with popular Horsham muso Darryn Wardle in between the eight-race card of harness action.
The West Side TAB & Sports Bar opens at 10.00am with Pizzas & Sliders available all afternoon in the fully licenced, West Side Cafe.
Jen's Canteen opens @ noon with a great range of hot/cold, food and drinks to choose from.
The kids will love meeting Santa with his free icy-poles and maybe have a photo taken with the "friendly fella in red" for a nominal fee. A free Kids Playroom & Colouring Station will keep the youngsters busy.
Racegoers will be comfortable on Sunday whatever the weather - out on the lawn if sunny, in the shade of the terraced stand or enjoying it all in the comfortable Trackview Licenced Bar & Lounge.
So grab the picnic rug and hamper, don't forget to "slip, slop, slap & slide" and head to the track for a great day out.
