Tigers carry confidence into clash against Roos
Dimboola are on the road to Davis Park on Saturday, where Nhill awaits them in round six of the Wimmera Football Netball League.
While the Roos are still looking for their first win of the season, the Tigers are in fifth, with a record of a couple of losses and a couple of wins.
With Dimboola beaten last week by Horsham, Nhill were defeated by Stawell.
Co-coach of the Tigers, Trevor Ryan, said they are feeling confident heading into the match based on the fact his side has been playing footy of a decent standard.
"We feel we can get the win on Saturday, purely because we have been playing footy that's good since the first round," Ryan said.
"It's just, unfortunately, we haven't won the four games, but all in all, we are doing things mostly right.
"We just need to convert in front of the goal, which will make a difference, and hopefully, on Saturday, we can begin to do that."
Despite coming off a loss last week, Ryan said he was impressed with the side's contested footy in that hit out and was hopeful they could continue that into the match.
"We did that really well last Saturday, in conditions that were wet," admired the coach.
"And hopefully this week we can do that again, and make more use of the ball going inside 50, as I thought we were a bit wasteful against Stawell."
Ryan said they will be playing a one-on-one brand of footy in being accountable for the opposition, while giving his players the belief and confidence that when they get the ball, to move it fast.
