The North Central Football League has moved to a tiered player points structure based on ladder positions this year, resulting in a gap of eight points between the top and bottom tiers.

Grand finalists Sea Lake Nandaly and Birchip-Watchem have had the biggest reduction in points across the four competitions with four less, dropping to 38.

Conversely, St Arnaud and Charlton that between them won just two games this year have had the biggest increase with an additional four points, increasing from 42 to 46.

The newly-merged Calder United will be in tier three with 44 player points for its first season in the competition.

Calder United is the club that has been born out of the amalgamation between Nullawil and Wycheproof-Narraport.

Despite having 42 points to utilise this year, premier Sea Lake Nandaly used an average of just 26.7 per game, so still has plenty of room to move in terms of adjusting to its reduced allocation from 42 to 38.

The salary caps for the NCFL remains at $106,600 for season 2025.
