On Saturday, three generations of the McRae family competed for Dimboola against Kaniva Leeor in lawn bowls.
James skippered the rink, with his father Rob and Grandfather Ian playing. This was the third time they have played together, following two matches last year.
James has been skipper for two years now and said that he called on Ian because they were low on numbers. When asked how it felt playing with both his Dad and Grandfather, he said it was enjoyable and memorable.
"It's interesting and good fun and I enjoy it. It's a memorable experience and it could be the last time we experience this so we are going to enjoy it," James said.
Rob enjoyed playing alongside his father as well as his son.
"It feels good. We are lucky to have him [Ian], and James is doing a good job," Rob said.
Ian, as youthful as ever said that it was good fun.
"I am a bit lucky to live this long but it's fun," he said.
They lost their rink by one but Dimboola ended up with the outright win on the day.
