The WFNL's top teams will descend on Dimboola for grand final day
Dimboola Recreation Reserve hosts the 2024 WFNL grand final.
The 2024 Wimmera Football Netball League season will reach its crescendo on Saturday, September 21, as Dimboola Recreation Reserve hosts the grand final for the second straight season.
Twenty-two teams from five clubs will be in action with the aim of taking home one of the eleven premiership cups on offer.
Senior football teams, Ararat and the Southern Mallee Thunder, have taken two different paths to this season's decider.
The Rats have a settled playing list as it searches for its second consecutive flag.
Whilst the Thunder has reached its first grand final in the inaugural season after the merger between the WFNL's Southern Mallee Giants and the HDFNL's Jeparit Rainbow Storm.
Each club has named its teams for the grand final.
In the A Grade netball, Horsham and the Horsham Saints will compete in its third straight decider.
The Saints will be hunting for a third flag in as many seasons, while a grand final win for Horsham would complete the minor/major premiership double.
The two clubs will dominate the action on the court during the day.
Only the B Grade (Horsham v Stawell Warriors) and C Grade (Horsham Saints v Stawell Warriors) will not feature the two sides against each other.
The 13 and under match begins the day at 8.20am.
Horsham will be out to complete an undefeated season in the under-14s when it faces the Rats to open the football action at 8.30am.
The Demons' under-17s will be out to seal the same fate against the Horsham Saints.
The local rivals will complete a trilogy of grand finals in the reserves.
