Horsham

The heat and smoke subsided on Saturday, February 8, as Horsham's summer sport took centre stage.

The Horsham Cricket Association's A Grade competition began their second-last round as the Horsham Saints welcomed West Wimmera to Coughlin Park in day one of another two-day fixture.

In other matches, Lubeck Murtoa hosted the Horsham Tigers, Colts traveled to Cameron Oval to play Laharum, while Noradjuha Toolondo faced Homers at Noradjuha Recreation Reserve.

It was the last round of the regular season in the Wimmera Playing Area weekend pennant lawn bowls.

Coughlin Park hosted Horsham City, with both sides already having locked in a finals berth.

Elsewhere, local rivals Dimboola hosted Nhill, with the home side trying to keep their finals hopes alive.

While Horsham Golf faced Sunnyside and Kaniva played Goroke/Edenhope.

In round 14 of the Central Wimmera Tennis Association pennant competition St Michaels was the home side against the ladder leading Horsham Lawn, while Central Park hosted Kalkee.
