With so much happening in Rainbow, and the weather slightly cooler, it was a small, very keen group that gathered for the Opening Round of Rainbow Golf club’s 2023 season.
A warm welcome was extended to Heather and Ned Klemm, who were back for the opening round last Saturday.
Whilst not green, the course provided great coverage as teams of two headed out to play Ambrose.
Balls sliced, hooked and rolled fast as they made their way to the hole.
The day had lots of giggles, enjoyable larrikin behaviours, and generally was a delightful day.
Over cheese and biscuits, Steve Leach announced the winners.
Well done to Owen Morley and Ned Klemm who came in with a great score of 68 - only ten points separated the teams.
Steve Leach then went on to say “when Storm are playing at home, Rainbow’s Saturday Golf competition would be moved to Sunday, allowing the keen footballers and spectators a chance to play golf.”
Ladies Opening Day is Wednesday April 5.
