Swifts to host Rams
Natimuk United will travel to Stawell this Saturday as they attempt to keep their slim finals chances alive against the Swifts in round 13 of the Horsham District Football Netball League.
The Rams are currently eighth on the ladder with four wins and seven losses, three wins behind the fifth-placed Swifts.
Natimuk United put the competition on notice with their surprise victory against Harrow Balmoral in round 10, but have since suffered losses to Pimpinio and Kaniva Leeor United.
While the young side is likely to enter the clash feeling as if they can score another shock win, they go against a Swifts side with a commanding home-game record.
The Swifts have a 4-1 home record and have the comfort of having beaten Natimuk 95-34 in round one.
Giving the Rams solace is that they entered halftime of that round one clash only down by three points, and have shown improvement throughout the year.
With the battle for a top-five finals spot heating up, a Swifts win will ensure they stay in the five, while a Natimuk win gives them an outside chance of finals footy with some winnable games down the stretch.
