Summer hours start for tips

For the next three months, Hindmarsh Shire’s four transfer stations will keep summer hours.

The new regime began on Sunday and will continue until February 28 2025.

The changes are intended to keep employees and community members safe from extreme afternoon heat.

On days of extreme heat, station closures will be announced on the shire’s Facebook page and website.

The summer operating hours are:

- Dimboola: 9am–noon Monday, Wednesday, Friday–Sunday (closed Tuesday, Thursday)

- Jeparit: 9am–noon Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday (closed Monday, Wednesday, Friday-Saturday)

- Rainbow: 9am–noon Monday, Friday, Sunday (closed Tuesday–Thursday, Saturday)

- Nhill: 9am–noon Monday, Wednesday, Friday–Sunday (closed Tuesday, Thursday).
