SubRosa winery recognised with five-star rating for locally made wine
SubRosa gets five-star rating in the 2025 Halliday Wine Companion.
Local winery SubRosa is celebrating the recent recognition of a five-star rating in a leading Australian wine guide and review publication, the 2025 Halliday Wine Companion.
Co-founded by winemaker Adam Louder and Nancy Panter, SubRosa produces premium cool-climate wines in small batches from select vineyards in the Grampians and Pyrenees regions.
"It's great to be recognised as one of the top producers in Australia by the Halliday team," said Mr Louder.
"This honour highlights our dedication to produce premium cool-climate wines."
The Halliday Wine Companion says a five star winery is a an 'outstanding winery capable of producing wines of a very high quality.'
Since its beginnings in 2023, SubRosa has built a strong reputation for its small-batch wine from fruit grown locally.
In 2019 the winery was recognised as one of the best new wineries by Halliday Wine Companion.
"There is no room for error when you are a very small winery," said Ms Panter.
"Adam is an incredibly talented winemaker. He's completed 40 vintages around the world, which speaks to his passion and skill in crafting exceptional wines.
"Halliday ratings are important for our reputation. A five star rating will help build reputation and trust with our customers, industry and export partners."'
On Saturday, October 19, October, SubRosa will have a pop-up door at Grampians Vines and Vibes at Pomonal Estate.
And, SubRosa wines are available for purchase on their website and locally at Grampians Wine Cellar in Halls Gap, and IGA Liquor in Ararat and Stawell.
