Warracknabeal Police are seeking information on a number of thefts in the area, and property owners are being asked to keep an eye out and take precautionary measures.
Following on from the theft of 11 car badges from cars at Rural Northwest Health’s carpark in Cox Street last month, local police are also investigating the recent theft of a battery from one of the generators being used at the GrainCorp bunkers site.
On August 4, a washing machine was stolen from the Warracknabeal Caravan Park on Lyle Street, with CCTV footage capturing a male wearing orange hi-vis workwear loading the LG top-loader into a dark-coloured Toyota HiLux ute at around 1pm.
CCTV footage also captured a male and female stealing the newspapers honesty tin at the Warracknabeal Herald and North West Press office on January 16.
The pair have been identified, arrested, and interviewed, and will be charged accordingly.
Sadly, yesterday, the business reported staff arrived to find the the Lions Club trailer, used to collect paper donations, taken from out behind the office.
The registration of the distinct trailer, which was not fully loaded at the time, is SCH088
