Stawell Secondary College students set for the Great Vic Bike Ride
Fifteen people will ride from Wodonga to Healesville from November 23.
Eleven students from Stawell Secondary College will enhance the schools values of participation, aspiration, inclusion, resilience and respect as they will take part in the Great Vic Bike Ride.
Departing from Wodonga on Saturday, November 23, the students will ride 501 kilometres in eight days.
Students range from years 7 to 10, with three returning for their second ride.
Whilst principal Murray Hart and volunteers Carolyn Hayes and Gerard McAloon will accompany the students, with a parent joining for the last three days.
The group will travel through Myrtleford, Wangaratta, Mansfield, Alexandra, Marysville and finish in Healesville on Sunday, December 1.

Preparation for the world's largest, fully supported bicycle event began in August with one training ride per week, before the group recently increased to two rides.
The training rides are up to 50 kilometres in length.
While the team is very excited as the ride approaches, they are all well aware of the challenges that lie ahead.
The ride will be a unique way for the students to see Victoria, also learning about themselves and their peers.
The sense of achievement from completing the ride can lead to improved confidence and personal growth.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Great Vic Bike Ride, but will be the last in its current format.
Mr McAloon introduced the school to the event in 2016, and will be participating in his 13th ride.
