Stawell enjoy narrow win over Warrack
Stawell hosted Warrack in round nine of the Wimmera Football Netball League and recorded an 11-point win.
Final scores were 12.7 (79) to 10.8 (68).
The Eagles were the better team in the first quarter according to the scores, leading by a point at the break, but Stawell had a better second quarter and were up by three points at half-time.
Heading into that final quarter, the margin was out to 18 points but the Eagles were able to close in a bit, but not enough, defeated eventually by 11 points.
Better players for the game were Josh Fowkes and Sam Williams for the winners and Charlie Penny and Sam Hanna for Warrack.
Paul Summers was brilliant for the home side, booting five majors, while Cody Driscoll contributed three.

Ararat's Tom Williamson is second, with 34, and Dimboola's Jackson Calder is third with 27.
