Stage set for some close results
If the ladder is anything to go by, there should be a number of close match-ups this Saturday in round nine of Wimmera Football Netball League A grade netball.
Eighth-placed Stawell host Warrack (seventh), Dimboola (third) play the Thunder, who are fourth, and Nhill (sixth) play the fifth-placed Ararat.
Horsham, second, will line up against Minyip Murtoa (ninth).
Dimboola are a game clear from Thunder, who are on 16 points along with Ararat but lead by percentage.
They have won five games this season, dropping just two, while their opposition for this Saturday have a record of four and three.
Both sides have goalies extremely capable of contributing a large volume of scoring, with Dimboola's Nichole Polycarpou third for the league in leading goal scorers (221) and Steph Thomson from the Thunder fourth (199).
Jorja Clode, of Horsham Saints, is the league's leading goal scorer, with 369 goals from 443 shots, while Imogen Worthy from the Demons is second with 248 from 308.
