Spuds sown for Easter Rally
Wheatlands Warracknabeal Agricultural Machinery Museum brought out the antique potato planting machinery again last Saturday, September 7.

They got to work in the field behind the museum, and hopes the community will be able to reap the rewards again next year.
Secretary Lesley Stephan said last year's planting was so popular, members decided to do it again.
After the seed potatoes were cut to size, they were loaded into the planter which once again had Terry Wiendersitz, Gordon Mills and Graeme Werner at the helm.
The rainwater collected from the roof of the museum will be used to water the potatoes throughout the year, hopefully increasing chances of another bountiful harvest.
The homegrown spuds will be turned into the ever-popular baked potatoes that are served up at Warracknabeal's Easter Rally, courtesy of Graeme Werner.
