Spirit of Football Award: HDFNL round 8

The round 8 winner of the Spirit of Football award for the 2025 Horsham District Football Netball League, Pimpinio under 17 footballer Link Smith, received his award from Horsham Blue Ribbon member Les Power before the game at Pimpinio football ground on Saturday.

Smith and his family are currently in their third year at Pimpinio Football and Netball Club.

Despite having been there for only a short period of time, he has firmly established himself as a true leader of the junior group.

Smith is the perfect definition of the Blue Ribbon Award's ideals.

He always shows respect to all officials: club, umpires, opposition and teammates.

He is currently part of the leadership of the under 17 team and also the Horsham District Football League interleague captain.

Smith is an exceptionally skilled and fair player and has played a large part of the Tigers' last two premierships.

The club would like to congratulate him on his award and say that they love having him and his family at Pimpinio.
