Song and dance a hit for seniors
October is Seniors Month and has the statewide theme: explore, engage, evolve.
Celebrity artist Glenn Starr enthralled a large crowd at Horsham's Church of Christ recently, and a sell-out crowd at Horsham RSL to hear the Honky Tonk Queens perform country favourites by Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette.
Also on the musical program is free entertainment by Horsham's Silver Strings ukulele group in Horsham Neighbourhood House on Wednesday from 1.30pm.
Other events for this year's festival include a formal dress high tea with classical music at Horsham Neighbourhood House, Robin Street (October 22, 10am); easy dance program to Don Papst's music at Hamilton Lamb Hall (October 22, 7.30pm); ways to share your life stories, Horsham Library (October Oct 24, 11am); Tai Chi in Hamilton Lamb Hall (October 28, 10am); try playing the harp, The Station, 16 Pynsent Street, Horsham (October Oct 29, 10am).
