Smoke subsides and makes way for a sunny Saturday of summer sport
Sunny skies for summer sports on Saturday, February 1.
After a week clouded in smoke, Horsham welcomed a wind change that brought about clear skies on Saturday, February 1, and out local sports stars relished sunshine, despite the high mercury.
The Horsham Cricket Association's A grade teams took to pitches in Horsham, Nhill and Brim to finish of their round 11 two-dayers.
Laharum was in the field at Coughlin Park, defending their 148-run first innings total against Horsham Saints.
Horsham Tiger called City Oval home in round 11, hosting the Bullants.
At Nhill's David Park, the West Wimmera Warriors took on Homers and BKSH hosted Lubeck Murtoa at Brim Recreation Reserve.
In the Wimmera Playing Area's weekend division one lawn bowls, Sunnyside and Horsham City were both in Horsham, hosting Kaniva and Horsham Golf respectively.
Meanwhile Coughlin Park traveled to Nhill and Goroke Edenhope took on Dimboola.
And in the Central Wimmera Tennis Association's pennant, Horsham Lawn hosted Central Park and St Michaels headed for Drung South.
