Smart Artz to bring Shakespeare to botanic gardens
Smart Artz Theatre Inc. is set to transform Horsham's Botanic Gardens into an outdoor theatre as they perform William Shakespeare's comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, over three twilight performances in November 2025.

Families, friends and visitors to the Wimmera are invited to enjoy the magic of theatre under the stars, with an event designed to showcase the beauty of Horsham and highlight the creative talent within our community.
Attendees can bring their own blankets and picnic baskets or choose from on-site food trucks.
“We’re thrilled to present this outdoor production and bring a new level of enchantment to the Horsham Botanic Gardens,” Director Maddi Ostapiw said.

Smart Artz Theatre Inc will hold auditions for actors and dancers in February 2025.
“We welcome performers of all experience levels to audition for lead roles, supporting roles, and our energetic fairy chorus," president Amy Anselmi said.
"Audition details will be posted on Smart Artz Theatre Inc’s social media channels."
Enchanting set dressing elements will be crafted by local artist Milly Henley, and pre-show children’s entertainment, including fairy face-painting and a fairy storytime, will be coordinated by Wendy Preece.
Horsham Rural City Council is supporting the event via ticketing, grounds preparation and event management services.
