Sisters team up to win

The beautiful day on Wednesday saw 20 women play in our Chapman Four Ball Best Ball partners event, with first, second and third prizes sponsored by Beth and Brian Preston.
The winners for the day were sisters Karen Germano and Janice Midgley with 94 - 17²⁄₈ - 76⁶⁄₈.
Runner-up for the day went to Wendy Hewitt and Vicki Hinkley with 92 - 14⅝ - 77⅜, and in third place was Mary Massey and Marlene Pilmore with 95 - 16⅞ - 78⅛.
The Warrack Hot Bread 5th nearest the pin was also won by Karen and Janice.
The Power and Bennett 7th NTP and 13th Rural Northwest Health NTP were both won by Wendy Hewitt.
The Sue Krause Third Shot on the 9th was won by Mary and Marlene.
The Warracknabeal Dental Clinic Nine Out was won by Julie Bayles and Mary Barber with 47 nett, on a countback from Carolyn Morcom and Debby Barling.
The Shirley Liersch Nine In, was won by Kaye Picken and Cindy Marsh with 50 nett.
Next Wednesday’s event will be a Secret Partners Stableford.
Office duty will be: Out - Carolyn Morcom and Kerry Oulton, In - Karen Germano and Kaye Picken.
Kerry Oulton won Saturday’s Women's Stableford event with consistent 33 points, and had Kaye Picken hot on her tail with 32 points.
Isobel Davison won first prize in the raffle.

We have our annual tournament coming up next week.
- Thursday August 31 will be a Men’s and Women’s Four Ball Best Ball.
- Friday September 1 will be our prestigious Nola Clarke Memorial Women's 18-holes Golden Putter.
- Saturday September 2 will be the O’Connors Case IH 36-holes Men’s Golden Putter event.
- Sunday September 3 will be the Mixed 18-hole Pinehurst or, if you don’t have a partner, you can play an individual 18-hole Stableford.

The dates for our free Come and Try Days have finally been rescheduled.
Horsham golf pro Jordan Briggs, along with our qualified local community instructors, will be leading a session for everyone who is interested in picking up a golf club on Sunday September 10, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Our Women’s Only session will be held on Friday September 15, from 9.30am to 11.30am, led by Ballarat golf pro Tony Collier.
Whether you have played a little bit of golf and would like to get back into it, or you are just starting out, this will be a great opportunity.
