Show features a feast of firsts and favourites

Beautiful weather encouraged a large crowd to Natimuk Show.
President Robert Rogers of Tooan said a happy, carefree crowd enjoyed the day's events and a new major attraction, sheep dog trials.
Royal Melbourne Show president Matt Coleman opened the show.
Natimuk farmer Kenneth Hateley ran the inaugural event which attracted about 60 dogs including some from Queensland and across Australia.
A shearing competition, run by Michael Sudholz, resulted in the shearing of 166 sheep in open, intermediate and novice sections and used a new raised board for the first time. Kerry and Chris Toet won a fleece competition.
A Lego contest was also a first for the show and popular with children.
Mr Rogers said horse-event numbers were high as were entries in the general interests pavilion.
Brooklyn Fraser was Natimuk's entry to a Young Rural Ambassador competition which was judged earlier this year.
The show committee has also presented a certificate to Max Smith of Natimuk for 60 years' service as a committee member.
