There were lots of excited children at the Dimboola Library on Thursday, when CJ's Musical Puppet Theatre came to town.

Rain didn’t stop local youngsters from laughing during CJ’s Musical Puppet Show at the Dimboola Library on Thursday.

Almost 30 kids, accompanied by their parents, had a wonderful 45 minutes in the hall of the Dimboola Library and Hindmarsh Shire Council Customer Service Centre.

“It was a good one,” Aoife Nichols, 6, said.

The puppet show was part of the week-two activities of Hindmarsh Shire Council's school holiday program.

One of the mums at the show, Louise Murty, said it was packed with enthusiasm.

“It gets me out of the house, especially with the weather, so it’s good,” Ms Murty said.

“Singing and the dancing was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it.”

Entertainer CJ declared Dimboola’s performance the best in the region as the audience was so engaged.

“Everyone got really involved and they’re very responsive,” he said.

“It’s better for me when people join in.

"It makes me happier.”

Hindmarsh Shire Council organised different activities during the two weeks of the school break from June 26 to July 7.
