Shire funds community work
Ten community groups are celebrating being named as recipients of West Wimmera Shire Council grants.

The organisations have been chosen to receive funding under round one of the shire's 2024–25 Community Strengthening Grants program.
Council approved the applications at a meeting on November 20.
Among the recipients, Edenhope Tourism has been awarded $3333 for a geophysical survey with ground-penetrating radar to locate unmarked graves in the monumental section of Edenhope Cemetery.
It is one of four Edenhope groups to feature.
Henley on Lake Wallace, also at Edenhope, will use $2231 to purchase equipment including marquees, tables and chairs to ensure the safety and comfort of volunteers at its annual festival.

Elsewhere, Serviceton Bowls Club has been granted $666.67 to replace a blind on the club’s west-facing window to protect workers and facilities from the harsh summer sun, and Kaniva Senior Citizens will use its $532 to purchase 12 lightweight, commercial-grade chairs.
