A New Start is the theme of an inaugural art exhibition organised by the Southern Mallee Co-Operative Parish.
Organisers are calling for people willing to show their artwork at the exhibition in Hopetoun's Powerhouse art studios between September 23 and 28.
Entries can be a painting, textiles, pottery, sculpture or other media.
Susan Pearse, parish minister for Rainbow and Hopetoun, and Hopevale artist Nina Gould are organising the exhibition.
Ms Pearse said the theme could be interpreted in any personal or imaginative way.
"There are many times in life people experience a new start," she said.
Former Turriff and Hopetoun artist Bob Allan, now of Ballarat, will open the exhibition on September 22.
The former Ballarat University art lecturer has pottery on show in a permanent display at the Powerhouse.
