With Australia Day, Sunday, January 26 fast approaching the region's council's will be hosting several events to celebrate the day.
See where your council will be hosting an event below.
In the Horsham Rural City Council region, Natimuk is hosting a full day of activities on the Lake Natimuk foreshore.
The activities begin at 10am with a flag raising and the national anthem.
The Natimuk Lions Club will be behind the free barbecue from 11am-2pm.
Then a variety of musicians will showcase their talents from 2pm until the early evening.
Keith Lockwood will be a guest speaker between 3-4pm.
Family activities will be held throughout the day including a thong-throwing competition.
The event is BYO chairs, snacks and drink (no glass)
A bus will also be runningthroughout the day from the Natimuk Hote;l and foreshore.
West Wimmera Shire Council will celebrate Australia Day with a series of community events across the region.
Each event will feature an address by an Australia Day ambassador.
Mayor Tim Meyer encouraged residents to head along to the community events.
"Australia Day is a time to celebrate the achievements of our community and come together to acknowledge the people who make West Wimmera such a wonderful place to live," he said.
"I invite everyone to join the events and share in the spirit of the day."
Dergholm's Australia Day gathering will be at the Dergholm and District Soldiers Memorial Hall from 11am.
A free barbecue lunch will be provided, complemented by music from Nathan "Skunk" Gill.
The event will also include a speech by an Australia Day ambassador, to be announced.
Edenhope will host its event at the Edenhope Bowling Club from 8am with a free barbecue breakfast.
Attendees will enjoy performances by Sing Australia and Rob Tuncks, along with an address from Australia Day ambassador Georgina Campbell.
In Goroke, the celebrations start from 8am at the Goroke Memorial Hall.
A barbecue breakfast will be available, along with entertainment from Poppy Moyle Reid.
The event will also include a speech by an Australia Day ambassador, to be announced.
Harrow's Australia Day event will be at the Johnny Mullagh Reserve from 11am.
A shared barbecue lunch will be available, along with entertainment by Jessie Ferguson.
The gathering will feature an address by an Australia Day ambassador, with details to be confirmed.
Kaniva's Australia Day celebrations will start from 8am at the Kaniva Memorial Swimming Pool.
A barbecue breakfast will be served for a gold coin donation, with entertainment provided by Robyn Norton.
Hindmarsh Shire Council will be hosting events in Nhill, Dimboola, Jeparit and Rainbow.
A flag raising ceremony will take place in each town, along with addresses from local guest speakers and Mayor, Cr Ron Ismay.
The 2025 Hindmarsh Shire Australia Day Awards will be presented to successful recipients throughout the day.
Rainbow's event starts at 7.30am at the Rainbow Oasis with a barbecue breakfast.
This will be followed by a meet and greet from 8.00am and ceremony proceedings commencing at 8.20am. Hosted by the Lions Club of Rainbow.
Jeparit's event will begin with a barbecue breakfast at Menzies Square from 9am.
The breakfast will be followed by a meet and greet from 9.30am and ceremony proceedings to commence at 9.50am hosted by Jeparit Town Committee.
Dimboola Library Gardens will host a morning tea from 10.30am.
Dimboola CWA will host a meet and greet from 11.00am, with ceremony proceedings to commence at 11.10am.
Nhill will close Hindmarsh Shire's events with a barbecue at Goldsworthy Park beginning at 12 noon.
This will be followed by a meet and greet from 12.30pm and ceremony proceedings commencing at 12.50pm hosted by the Lions Club of Nhill.
