Rupanyup Township Project Updates

Yarriambiack Shire Council has announced significant progress on the Dunmunkle Library Project.

CEO Tammy Smith reports that, “Stage 1 building works are nearing completion at the former council offices, marking a

major milestone in the community’s cultural development”.

The first phase of the project has transformed the building’s exterior with a fresh Colorbond finish and a designated feature wall for future artistic displays.

The interior has been thoughtfully redesigned to include a library space, activities room, accessible unisex toilet, reception area, quiet

room, administration office, and a versatile multi-purpose room suitable for in-venue care.

The update extends to the amenities and laundry, with a careful repaint that preserves the building’s historic architectural charm.

Looking ahead, Stage-2 will soon commence, enhancing the precinct with exterior feature artwork, inviting landscaping, and a pergola area.

CEO Tammy Smith added, “the vision for the Dunmunkle Library Precinct is to be a vibrant social hub for the southern end of our shire, fostering community engagement and public use.”
