Rupanyup set to continue momentum
Rupanyup are confident going into the match against Taylors Lake this Saturday in round six of the Horsham District Football Netball League at Rupanyup Recreation Reserve.
The Panthers, currently seventh on the league ladder with two wins and two losses, will host Taylors Lake, who have one win and four losses at ninth.
Rupanyup will look to carry the momentum from their 90-66 victory over Edenhope Apsley in round five.
Coach of Rupanyup, Cam Weston, said another four-quarter effort would be crucial against Taylors Lake.
“I think we have to go into every match feeling positive and confident and bring that four-quarter effort that we showed on Saturday into this week’s game against Taylors,” Weston said.
Taylors Lake will want an improved performance following their 155-41 defeat to Noradjuha Quantong in round five.
Both Taylors (77-63) and Rupanyup (86-75) had close wins over Kaniva Leeor United in previous games and are poised for a tight contest.
“Hopefully we give it a red-hot crack and come out on top,” Weston said.
“If we can be 3-2 (after five games), that's what we aimed for at the beginning of the season, so it would be great to be sitting there.”
