Laharum will aim to cement their finals spot in their round 18 clash against Rupanyup on Saturday.

Laharum are currently equal with the Swifts on nine wins for the season but remain ahead on the ladder in fifth by way of their strong percentage.

A win would guarantee the Demons play finals footy but they face a Panthers team who are motivated to finish their season well.

With four rounds to play, Rupanyup coach Cam Weston said the team was capable of winning all four of their remaining games.

Since then, the Panthers have recorded wins over Natimuk United and Edenhope Aspley but were handily defeated by Taylors Lake in their most recent game.

The last time the two sides met, Laharum produced a comprehensive 191-point win, and with a finals spot potentially on the line, the Demons enter as strong favourites.

Laharum coach Robbie Miller previously spoke of his side wanting to determine their own finals fate.

“We want to write our own story,” Miller said.

“We don't want to rely on other results; we want to put our future in our hands.”

The Panthers will aim to put the previous result behind them and they will be motivated to give their home crowd an impressive performance in their last game of 2025.

Rupanyup’s Blake Turner and Laharum’s Chase Whelan will be key players to watch up forward for each side, both being among the leading goalkickers for the 2025 season.
