Round two of accomodation fund now open
After a successful first round of the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, the Victorian Government is now offering a second round of grants with applications now open.

The fund supports 'shovel-ready' projects with co-investment from private businesses, industries, regional councils or local community groups to deliver worker housing that is much needed to support communities in regional Victoria.
Eligible projects will be fit-for-purpose to meet the skills needs of key sectors such as health, agriculture, education, manufacturing and tourism – from self-contained units, worker villages, family dwellings, shared accommodation and studios – and unique to the needs of the local community.
The first round saw more than 20 projects receive funds last month including Rural Northwest Health who received $1.25 million to build two three-bedroom duplexes near their Hopetoun campus.
Respect Group Limited in Nhill was also a successful applicant.
Minister for Regional Development Gayle Tierney said, they are working closely with private sector businesses, industry and community groups.
“The second round of the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund is one of the ways we’re creating more housing where it’s needed most," she said.
Applications are now open and will close on Friday November 31.
