Rotarians brush up for annual art show
Horsham East Rotary Club is again offering artists an opportunity to showcase their talents in this year's annual art show.

The 46th Wimmera Art Show will be in Horsham Town Hall from Wednesday October 9 to Sunday October 13 with all proceeds donated to Horsham's The Wesley restoration fundraising campaign to support re-opening the landmark arts venue.
Prizes awarded this year will be for best art bay, best artwork, a people’s choice winner and best photograph.
Pippa Mott, who has a history in environmental art and is inaugural chief executive at Halls Gap's new Wildlife Art Museum Australia, WAMA, is this year's judge.
The state-of-the-art WAMA gallery will open in April next year, and is Australia's first gallery dedicated to artworks inspired by the natural environment.
Art Show organiser Peter Robertson said the art show committee had worked hard to build on the success of past years. All art works would be for sale.
"Your purchases and your attendance support both local community projects and the region’s art community," he said.
Members are also selling raffle tickets with prizes of a jewellery voucher or a Case IH 12 volt children’s tractor and trailer. Both are valued at $825.
Tickets are on sale at Horsham Plaza until the opening of the art show and from the Town Hall during the art show.
