Rosie Barker has nominated for Hindmarsh Shire Council in October
Rosie Barker is keen to advocate for her community in the Hindmarsh Shire

Rosie Barker nominated for Hindmarsh Shire Council in October elections
My choice to live in Nhill over and above other towns in the region is because of its historical achievements and successes combined with its strategic location which gives the town a fantastic potential and opportunity for future development, especially in business, tourism and agricultural industries.
It is time to face the challenges and opportunities for Hindmarsh Shire Council (HSC) and the community in Nhill by rebuilding trust and engagement.
Acknowledgement of past issues or unsatisfactory results that the community has felt need to be openly communicated so learning for the future can be made from those experiences.
My vision is that our council must foster a Solution-Oriented Culture that highlights successes, celebrating and publicising community and council's achievements, and the positive impacts on our community. This can help shift the perception from focusing on risks and constraints to recognising progress.
New HSC Councillors will mean embracing changes that will leverage fresh perspectives along with the leadership of the new CEO, Monica Revell and other new staff at the Council.
By focusing on transparent communication, proactive problem-solving, and community involvement, we can create a more engaged and supportive environment in Nhill.
You can expect strong advocacy from me, for our community.
