Riverbank Fiesta to celebrate women and community
Jeparit is gearing up for a vibrant evening of music, markets and community engagement as the Jeparit Riverbank Fiesta takes centre stage on Saturday, March 1.

Organised by Jeparit Town Advisory Committee and Hindmarsh Shire Council, the event will celebrate International Women’s Day with a mix of entertainment, food and insightful discussions.
The fiesta kicking off at 5pm at the Jeparit Riverbank Precinct will feature a twilight market, food vendors and family-friendly activities.
Attendees can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere by the riverbank, bringing their own chairs, blankets and refreshments.
The Hindmarsh Shire Council will provide free entertainment for children, including giant games and fresh popcorn.
A key highlight of the event will be Women of the Wimmera question and answer panel at 6:30pm, where inspiring women from the region working in male-dominated industries will have discussion with Hindmarsh Shire CEO Monica Revell.
The panel will explore gender equality, systemic barriers and the actions needed to drive change in both personal and professional spheres.
Shannon Tatt and The Flipside will take the stage from 7pm on the Swimming Hole Decking, creating an unforgettable backdrop as the sun sets over the river.
Organisers expect over 200 attendees, with all cabins at Jeparit Riverview Holiday Park fully booked.
Jeparit Town Advisory Committee member Bec Schultz appreciated local community members and encouraged people to take advantage of the perfect weather forecast.
“Local Community play a valuable role in planning and hosting the event,” she said.
“Our reward is to see attendees enjoy the fiesta and bringing more tourism into our little Jeparidise.
“Carpe Diem - Seize the day, come to Jeparidise and enjoy a wonderful evening of fun and entertainment."
