With 15 cast members, several performers have embraced the challenge of undertaking multiple roles in the mystery-thriller making its debut at DMSC.

Audiences will follow the clever and determined Detective Kendra Drake (Rebecca May Williams) as she investigates a suspicious on-stage incident that blurs the lines between performance and reality.

Alongside her, Stage Manager Trudy Mitchell (Milla Eldridge) navigates the chaos backstage with wit and grit.

Beyond the stage, some performing arts students have been hard at work behind the scenes, displaying their creative skills managing lighting, sound, stage direction, costumes and more.

After the curtain falls, guests will be treated to a live music performance featuring the student-led band, headed by vocalist Matilda McKinnon, who have been fine-tuning their set during music classes and are now preparing to integrate stage elements into their act, rounding off the evening with an energetic and uplifting performance.

School production director Nic Mattschoss said it'll be an evening not to be missed and is "more than just a performance—it’s a celebration of our school’s creative spirit and a chance to support the next generation of artists, performers, and storytellers".

'This Murder Was Staged' will be performed on October 10 at the DMSC hall.
