Region well-represented as GWV Rebels name under-18 pre-season lists
Twenty-nine Wimmera players named in pre-season squads.
Twenty-nine footballers from the Wimmera have been named in the Greater Western Victoria Rebels' under-18 pre-season training lists for the 2025 Coates Talent League season's.
Of the 23 boys selected, Rupanyup's Alby Kingston is the only potential Rebel returning to the program.
While in the girls squad, Horsham Demons' Greta Arnel, Poppy Peters and Violet McGennisken return to the extended squad, as does Ararat junior and current Ballarat Storm representative Jamie-Lee Burton.
Natimuk United's strong junior program sees Ned Glascott named in the squad of 132.
Josh Hutchinson, Angus Mintern and Archer Cameron (a Harrow Balmoral junior) come from Laharum's 2024 under-17s team.
Alongside Kingston, Rupanyup's Max Sudholz rounds out the District league's representation.
Ararat's Pat Toner returns to the Rebels set-up after he last played one under-16s match in 2023, while club mate Reggie Jenkins has been included.
The Horsham Demons have the greatest representation of any Wimmera club with Max Bunworth, Dezi Carter, Archie Elliott, Harrison Hoffmann, Cooper Jardine, Lenix Nelson, Gibson Perry, Oliver Potter and Ethan Worthy.
The Horsham Saints have Drew Harris, Jack Henry, Levi Munyard and Zane Munyard selected in the squad.
While Warrack Eagles' Max Inkster has been selected.
Charmaine Lockwood and Amaya Woodward (Horsham Demons) have made the extended under-18s girls squad.
