Red hot weekend

It was the perfect weekend for the Hot Summer Nights Rod Run, with clear skies allowing the majestic beasts to shine bright.

Friday night saw droves of custom, classic, or hot rods converge on Maydale Pavilion for registration and an informal show-and-shine.

Saturday saw a parade worth millions as the hot rods cruised through the CBD before returning to Maydale for a night of fun.

The weekend concluded with a show-and-shine fundraiser at the soundshell, allowing the community to admire the cars up close.
