I am a mother, wife, volunteer, and employee running for Council as I believe that to build anything that will last, you first need to ensure it has a strong foundation.
I believe that when planning our future, it is important to have the basics in place: good roads, a well-managed budget, reliable community services, well-supported businesses, and a fair rating policy.
Small decisions can have large impacts, making it important for everyone to have input into Council decisions and to be confident that their Councillors will listen and make decisions based on what is best for the community.
I have a strong moral code of fairness and responsibility and am able to see how any one issue affects the bigger picture.
My experience on show committees, a school council, CFA, SES, scouts, and community groups has taught me that better outcomes are achieved through teamwork, respect, and considering everyone's opinion.
Over the next four years, I will work to earn your trust and respect by being responsive to your feedback, approachable, and respectful. I am a fast learner who cares deeply about reuniting our community and Council.
I have been saddened to watch the divide between 'them and us' slowly growing worse, costing both money and happiness.
Although our family only moved to Horsham Rural City Council at the end of 2018, I grew up in Nhill and owned a house in Goroke for almost ten years before we moved here. As such, Horsham has been where we have come for medical and professional appointments, shopping trips, and social outings our entire lives.
I love being a part of Horsham Rural City's community.
The area's natural beauty, amazing friendly people, and our location are all reasons to be excited about the future.
