Ready for Easter in the Beal

Easter in the Beal is one of the most anticipated events on the calendar for the Western Victorian town of Warracknabeal, and locals have been busy polishing everything, ready to put their best face forward for the weekend.

The fun begins on Friday with the Stableford Event for men and women, a shopfront tour, and the official opening of the Easter convention in the Town Hall.

But as well as the official program for Easter in the Beal, there are many other sites to see and the river to enjoy in and around Warracknabeal, including the Wheatlands Warracknabeal 57 Vintage Machinery Rally with music, fun and more food.

The Dog's Breakfast on Saturday morning also includes a Rotary Club breakfast for humans, so go along and enjoy the morning with your four-footed friend before wandering through the Lions Club market in the GA car park.

A little further along the street, you'll find the baked goods stall with scones already topped with jam and cream, ready to enjoy.

The Easter Egg hunt and face painting will keep the younger people occupied, and a barbecue is scheduled in front of the Post Office.

But not to be missed, at 9.30am, the street parade full of floats, vintage cars and machinery representing the agricultural industry the region has been built on will hit the main street with people jostling for the best vantage point.

More food is on offer with a baked spud lunch in the community garden.

The Easter Race Meeting is on at 11am, and the Wheatlands Museum is open all weekend.

Following a full Saturday, Sunday is another family fun day all over again, with the museum and convention open again and golf on Monday morning.

The Wimmera Easter Convention has a full program across the four days with speakers on the Easter message, missionary and youth sessions and dinner on Friday, Saturday and Monday, with lunch and dinner on Sunday.

Easter in the Beal organisers invite everyone to come and enjoy the fun and relax in the beautiful setting of Warracknabeal and surrounds.
