Natimuk United, Horsham Saints, Dimboola, Kaniva Leeor United and Rupanyup have all had their total player point allocations increased for 2025 football seasons.

The Rams (+4), Saints (+3), Roos, Cougars and Panthers (+2) will have totals of 46, 42, 44, 44 and 42 in 2025.

After its first WFNL finals appearance since 2010, Nhill have had its allocation reduced by four to a total of 40.

Nhill football director Rob Bell believes it will not affect the club as much due to its large local player base.

"It's good when you're recruiting, but it's probably not quite so critical to us, because we've got so many one- pointers," Bell said.

But that does not mean the Tigers will be sitting on their heels when it come to recruiting.

"We've been trying hard to get players to come and play at Nhill, it's been a bit easier with a little bit of success last year," Bell said.

"We're definitely are trying to target some key-position players that we're lacking."

Laharum suffered the same fate in the HDFNL after its return to form.

An 11-win season from the Demons saw its allocation reduced to 42 for the upcoming season.

Natimuk United president Shane Glascott believes the addition of a recruit or two is only a positive.

"[It] just gives us an extra opportunity to actually get a big player in," Glascott said.

"It all helps. Last year, you looked at our points and we rarely used over half because we've got a lot of players have been there for a long time now.

"And we had three [young players] that played most of the year, so they were only one pointers... But the extra points definitely help."

It will be the key position players that Natimuk United will have their eyes on.

"You talk to most clubs now, they'll all be doing the same. A key forward, a key back, those [key positions] are your main ones," Glascott said.

"We've got a lot of midfielders in our side, which is great, but you do need those bigger bodies around those kids."

Respective premiers Ararat and Harrow Balmoral saw no change to their allocation, whilst district league grand finalists Noradjuha Quantong had their total reduced by one point to 38.
